- Financial contribution required (based on capacity) in the form of a donation.
- Can vote in elections and can be voted for executive positions at the local, regional, and national levels.
- Will gain extra skills in leadership, creativity, teamwork, time management, and much more (inShaAllah).
VOLUNTEER
- To claim volunteer hours or certificate for official purposes, a volunteer commitment of 20 hours within 6 consecutive months is required.
- Anyone who wants to connect with MYN in any capacity can join MYN as volunteers
- All volunteer hours will be tracked and recorded by local MYN executive teams.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No. This is for 2 reasons:
- Our system requires volunteers to have a minimum of 20 hours before they can submit them for school volunteering hours.
- We want volunteers to value their experience and time with YM and other organizations to recognize the credibility of YM. If we allow volunteers to stay committed through the 20-hours policy, they will be able to acquire valuable practical-life skills that will be recognized and valued for university applications, graduate school applications, or in the workplace etc.
No. But we highly encourage everyone to make a monthly financial contribution based on their capabilities. We understand that YM members are youth, who are most likely not stable financially at this point in their lives. Thus, we encourage you to give fee-sabilillah (in the way of Allah) whatever you can, and at whatever intervals you are able to (i.e. monthly, bimonthly, 2x a year, yearly etc.), knowing that InShaAllah, it will get converted into the currency of Aakhirah and be exchanged for Jannah, Ameen.
YM is a non-profit organization, and is not funded by the government, hence your financial contributions will allow it to fund its local and national programs, events, da’wah and community projects etc. for as long as Allah wills.
Yes. You cannot become an executive team member if you have only signed the volunteer form.
