Hareem Asif

NATIONAL COORDINATOR

Hareem Asif joined the YM Board as the National Coordinator in 2025. Based in Calgary, she is in her third year studying Criminal Justice at Mount Royal University. Hareem envisions YM as a platform to empower Muslim women in Canada—encouraging them to proudly represent Islam and inspiring others to join their efforts in spreading its message.

Mahnoor Fatima

VICE-NATIONAL COORDINATOR

Mahnoor Fatima joined the YM Board as the Vice-National Coordinator in 2025. Based in Ottawa, she has been a part of YM for seven years. She is a Software Engineering student at Carleton University. Her vision in YM is to help build a platform where Muslim girls can come together to learn and spread the deen of Allah SWT as a community, inShaAllah!

Uneeba Saeed

OFFICE SECRETARY

Uneeba Saeed joined the YM Board as Office Secretary in 2023. Based in Toronto, ON, she is in grade 11 and has been with YM for 4 years. Passionate about YM’s mission, Uneeba brings a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and an open mindset. She hopes to use her skills to empower young girls and foster a strong and supportive community.

Rhumessa Ahmad

FINANCE CHAIR

Rhumessa has been a dedicated member of YM’s executive team since 2017, finding deep connection with her Deen and the Ummah through her involvement. In 2023, she took on the role of Finance Chair, striving to help YM chapters operate without financial barriers, ensuring the best possible experience for all members. Currently studying accounting at the Schulich School of Business, she looks forward to YM’s continued growth and many more years of friendship, faith, learning, and leadership, InshaAllah!

Hadiyah Arif

OUTREACH CHAIR

Hadiyah Arif joined the YM Board as the Outreach Coordinator in 2025. Based in Windsor, ON, she has been a dedicated member of YM for six years. She is studying biology at the University of Windsor. Passionate about community building, Hadiyah strives to create a supportive space for Muslim girls to grow together in faith and strengthen each other’s Imaan. Through her role, she hopes to foster lasting connections and empower young women to confidently embrace their Islamic identity.

Fabiha Neera

MEDIA CHAIR

Fabiha Neera joined the YM Board as Media Chair in 2023. Based in Calgary, she has been a part of YM for four years. She is in her fourth year of Software Engineering at the University of Calgary. She is passionate about technical and graphic design and strives to use those skills to enhance YM’s digital outreach. Through her work with YM, she hopes to strengthen the Muslim community and inspire young women to carry the message of Islam confidently without barriers.

Irba Shafqat

WEST REGION COORDINATOR

Irba Shafqat joined the YM Board as the West Region Coordinator in 2025. Based in Edmonton, she is in her final year of nursing school. She is passionate about leadership and community engagement—showcasing her efforts in YM and many other organizations. She has been a member of YM since 2022. Her vision for YM is to spread the Deen in a fun and engaging manner and create a strong space to empower the young women of our generation.

Zoha Munawar

WESTERN ONTARIO REGION COORDINATOR

Zoha Munawar joined the YM Board as the Western Ontario Regional Coordinator in 2025. Based in Brampton, ON, she is in her second year of nursing and has been with YM for seven years. With her strong leadership skills, compassion, and dedication to community building, she strives to create a supportive and empowering space for young girls. Her background in nursing fuels her commitment to fostering a healthy, strong, and connected community.

Nusrat Tazkia

EAST REGION COORDINATOR

Nusrat joined the YM Board as the East Region Coordinator in 2025. She has been a part of YM Sisters since 2022 and served as the previous President of YM Sisters Ottawa. She is a student at the University of Ottawa studying Biomedical Sciences. Her vision of YM Sisters is to help young Muslim girls understand their greater role in the Deen and Dunya by learning how to balance them and deepen the connection with their Islamic identity.
